Who Are The Borders Barmy Army?

The Borders Barmy Army are a group of friends who do daft and difficult challenges to raise money for charity.  All our challenges are completed in our trademark Kilts!

We have been running for around 4 years and have supported numerous charities including Anthony Nolan Trust, Cancer Research, Chest Heart and stroke Scotland, Whiz-Kidz, Macmillan Cancer support and most recently Borders Macmillan Ward at the Borders General Hospital. Over the past 3 years we have raised over £30,000 for worthy causes.

Some of our Previous Kilted challenges include Zipslides, 20 Miles Treaks along the southern Upland Way, the 1st Virgin London Marathon etc, more details can be found in our events section.

This year we have taken on the challenge to run the London Marathon, Loch Ness Marathon and the New York Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support.  So far we have raised over £13,000 for such a worthy cause.

We have also started planning our next event which will see us take on our very own 3 peaks challenge!

We love hearing from people!!!  So please get in touch!  Send us a message of Good Luck or Well done! Or if your a charity, challenge us!!!  We are always thinking about our next campaign and smaller one off challenges that we can do during our big campaigns! If your a business we have numerious sponsorship opertunities available!  We are currently looking for Pantomime Horse Sponsors for our big Race at Kelso Races on Saturday the 15th of October, and biggest of all a main sponsor for our 3 peaks challenge.

Like us on facebook and now follow us on twitter!!!
